Fibre supports digestion, keeps you full for longer and is linked with better long-term health. Many people eat less of it than recommended.

Where to find it

Whole grains, beans and lentils, vegetables, fruit, nuts and seeds are all good sources. Eating a variety gives you different types of fibre.

Increase it gradually

Add fibre step by step and drink enough water to avoid discomfort. People with digestive conditions should ask a doctor first.
